Abstract


Head injuries are among the most devastating and lethal catastrophes in humans. It is the leading cause of death and disability among children and young adults. Elevated ICP, a danger after any head injury, prevents blood from perfusing the brain and can also slrift brain tissue leading to herniation. and death. Several studies represent that non cardiogenic pulmonary edema, cardiac dysrrhythmias and shock are complications of increased ICP.
