Abstract


Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) is a microaerophilic motile
curve rod that inhabits the gastric mucosa of the human
stomach. The organism chronically infects billions of
people worldwide and is one of the most genetically
diverse of bacterial species
- H pylori transmission pathways are still vague, but the
risks of transmission include precarious hygiene standards, over-crowding and contaminated environment and water sources amongst others.
- The study done on 100 student of high socioeconomic
state and 100 student of low high socioeconomic state
using stool antigen (El A) test to declare the prevalence of helicobacter pylori among school age students with
parent's data base social life condition .
- Statistical analysis was done using the SPSS software
package version 18.0. Statistical analysis was done to
obtain the mean and standard deviation of each mean and
for comparison between the different groups involved in
this study ONE WAY test was used for comparison
between independent samples.
- Stool antigen test in positive in 95%of low socioeconomic and 66% in high socioeconomic .
- Mother education play important role and has significant
effect on helicobacter pylori infection acquisition.
- The socioeconomic state play role in the acquisition of
helicobacter pylori ,such as parent's education, work,
number of rooms, number of family members ,sanitation,
room aeriation, food type.
- Additional studies needed to provide more information
about effect of helicobacter pylori on growth and nutrition of students and adult in Egypt regarding the risk factor with different heIicobacter pylori prevalences.
