Abstract


Preterm birth is defined by WHO as delivery of an infant before 37 completed weeks of gestation. The incidence of preterm birth is 5% to 10% of births. About 30% of preterm births are unexplained and spontaneous-multiple pregnancies accounts 30% of cases.
