SAMIA HASSAN AHMED EL-AKKAD;

Abstract

The present study includes the following points:
1- A dilated morphological studies of Pseudapis (Pseudapis) innesi (Gribodo) to facilitate the identification the different species of subfamily Nomiinae.
2- Six species belonging to genera Nomia Latrielle and Pseuapis Kirby
are revised from Egypt. The species Nomia (Leuconomia) lutea Warncke is transferred from subgenus Paranomia to Leuconomia under the same genus Nomia latrielle. Four species are transferred from the genus Nomia and subgenus Lobonomia Warncke to the genus Pseudapis and subgenus Pseudapis Kirby. These species are: P. (Pseudapis) armata (Olivier), P. (Pseudapis) dixica (Warncke), P. (Pseudapis) innesi (Gribodo) and P. (Pseudapis) nubica (Warncke). The species Nomia unidentata Olivier is transferred from the genus Nomia to the genus Pseudapis and from subgenus Nomiapis Cockerell to subgenus Pseudapis Kirby. All species are described and illustrated. Keys to genera, subgenera and species are given. The flight records of males and females of these species are presented in histogram plots. The host plants of the species are recorded , these plants are related 20 plant genera , belonging to 12 plant families.
