THE VALUE OF' AUTOMATED PERIMETRY IN DETECTION OF FIELD CHANGES BEFORE AND AFTER GLAUCOMA SURGERY

Abstract
In this study twenty patients with 1ry glaucoma were examined by automated perimetry (octopus 1-2.3) program G1 X. All patients were subjected to have surgery, because either failure of maximum medical antiglaucoma therapy to control the field damage or bad patient compliance. We had examined 4 visual field for each patient one preoperative and 3 postoperative as follow up.
To. avoid learning effect on our results we did two perimeter tests at first for each patient as a training for him before the first actual visual field which taken as a baseline one preoperative.
