A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF DIFFERENT VENTILATION STRATEGIES IN NEWBORNS WITH RESPIRATORY FAILURE

Amr Mohamed Assaad Mostafa;

Abstract

This work was designed to compare two protocols of mechanical ventilation namely the low pressure-high oxygen (LPHO) and the high pressure low oxygen (HPLOl approaches, in the management of neonatal respiratory failure that complicates respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) and pneumonia. In our stud,•"e gave full priority to the patient's benefits and safety. We have reached the most appropriate protocol for each case
with the least percentage cf hazards and complications.
