Abstract
The present study was designed to detect the levels of Insulin like G F-1 and its binding proteins in the serum of patients with chronic renal disease referred to the Nephrology clinic in Abotl. El Rich Hospital Cairo University. A plan was followed in every case including thorough history taking, clinical examination and full laboratory investig tions to reach an etiological diagnosis for these cases. Blood samples were collected to measure IGF-1 and binding patient 3 by Immunoradiometric-assay.
Our current study included 23 patients and l 0 controls. The patients were divided into 3 groups. Group I; includd 10 patients with chronic renal failure Group 2; included 8 patients \Vith Nephrotic Syndrome. Group 3; included 5 patients with glomerulo - niphritis. Group
4: included I 0 normal age and sex matched controls .
