SYNTHESIS AND APPLICATION OF SOME NEW DYES DERIVED FROM COUMARIN AND PHENOXAZINE DERIVATIVES

Hassan Mahmoud Mostafa;

Abstract

In our study of azo dyes we had divided the work into the following three parts:

I- Disperse dyes.

II- Reactive-disperse dyes. III- Acid dyes.

I- Disperse dyes

The present work in this part was aiming to:

(1)Synthesis of some aromatic amine coupling components, for using them

as coupling components in this work.

(2) Synthesis of some new azo disperse dyes derived from 6-Aminocoumarin and 3-Aminophenoxazine-1-carboxylic acid. The prepared disperse dyes were used for dyeing polyester fiber by high temperature and c rrier dyeing methods.

Furthermore, the electrical and optical properties were evaluated. Also, the' fastness properties such as sublimation, light, washing, perspiration and rubbing fastnesses were measured.

1- synthesis of some aromatic amines coupling components:

N-(2-Cyanoethyl)aniline, N-(2-Cyanoethyl)-N-ethylaniline,

N-(2-hydroxyethyl)aniline

and

N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)aniline

were

synthesized in good yield for using them as coupling components in this

work.

The structure of these coupling components were confirmed by
1
comparison with authentic samples. Further, IR and H NMR spectra of

these compounds were given.
