Ultrastructural and Functional Comparaiive Sludy of Testicular Sperm

Abstract

One hundred fifty one infertile azoospermic men and their wives underwent TESE/ICSI. Male patients were grouped, according to their testicular histopathological picture into six groups; hypospermatogenesis (n=33), mixed pathology (n=33), early spermatid arrest (n=22), primary spermatocyte arrest (n=l5), SCO (n=28) and tubular hyalinization (n=20). They were also grouped according to the difficulty of sperm retrieval into easy TESE cases (n=81) and difficult TESE cases (n=70).
