Expert Systems and Its Applications

Abstract

Knowledge management is the process of organize, analyze, maintain knowledge and its resources in a specific domain. Knowledge management is the process through which organizations generate value from their intellectual property and knowledge-based assets. KM involves the creation, dissemination, and utilization ofknowledge.

Our research mam goal is how we can manage and control the knowledge specially that acquiring from the practical field expertise and not formalized in a computer form that using to make knowledge available whenever and wherever needed. Research go through tow parallel ways one for manage the knowledge and the second for applying the concepts of expert system to save knowledge and draw conclusions from it.

This research considered managing knowledge is the important pre-step that should be execute before the try of putting knowledge to use. So we recommend to know the nature of our knowledge in specific domain, this nature may help us to determine the weak and the strong points to be handled. There are several concepts that support knowledge management process must know to their problems and to compute it in order to enhance the work of knowledge performance, such as the gap problem that describe the difference value between the knowledge we posses and the knowledge that put in actions, or the risk problem that describe the risk values around the knowledge resources or about the methods that used to save knowledge or transferee it, these values presented as indication parameter for knowledge losses problem, and research provided other problems with knowledge efficiency and effectiveness.
