Abstract


A method which has been recently used to correlate the structure and properties of various t'J?es of superionic glasses is,the composition • transformations. It can be successfuly used to rationalize the observed properties .of the materials , as well as to predict citria for selecting .
materials with desirable properties .



The glass systems (l-x)AgP03-xAgM-, [M =I,Cl,Br]


AgP03 x= 0.0


(l-x)AgP03 -xAgi 0.1 sxs0.5


(l-x)AgP03 -xAgCl , 0.1 < x S 0.4 (l-x)AgP03-xAgBr • 0.1 X- ray diffraction study for all samples exhibits amorphous nature.



Differential Thennal Analysis (DTA) reveals that tl1e characteristic temperatures of the glasses,(Tg , Tc and Tm)_,are vary with glass type and cmnposition .
