Hepatocellular carcinoma is kno\vn to be a consequence of viral hepatitis HBV and HCV infections, hepato carcinogens e.g. Aflatoxi11 and chronic liver disease e.g. cirrhosis. genetic hemochromatosis and hereditary tyrosinemia. Abdominal pain and swelling are the commonest symptoms of HCC and hepatomegaly is the main physical sign in HCC.
