Abstract

The present work is devoted to investigate the structural, optical and transport properties of ternary chalcogenides CuSbTe2 , CuSbSe2 and CuSbS2 thin films deposited by thermal evaporation on glass substrate.

The films deposited at substrate temperature 300k were amorphous in nature and by annealing in vacuum at 373K and
473K such films become C1ystalline of 011horhombic structure.

The structural propcrtires include the determination of the lattice constants and the crystallite size.

The . electrical properties include the dark electrical conductivity, the thermoele tric power and Hall coefficient.

The optical properties include the determination of the refractive index, the absorption coefficient, the dielectric constant and the optical er:ugy gap.

These properties could be correlated to evaluate the compounds under investigation as a semiconducting material with specific properties to fulfill certain application.

The effect of thickness, thermal treatment and '6- irradiation on these properties are also d.iscussed.
