Homocysteine And C-Reactive Protein As Risk Factors For Cardiovscular Diseases In Hemodialysis Patients
Eman Fathy Ebraheem;
Abstract
Hyperhomocysteinemia is prevalert in haemoctialysis patients. Patients with abnormal perfusion scintigraphy has elevated HCY and CRP. In asymptomatic hoemodialysis patients gated SPECT is a safe and non-invasive screening technique for the detection of coronory artery disease. The presence of ischaemia correlates significantly with markers of inflammation, presented by CRP and with elevated homocysteine level.
