Abstract

The evidence of none true anatomical obstruction, the presence of tubal cast or plug (Sulak et a/. ,1987) created a scope for none operative access to recanalize proximally obstructed fallopian tube.

The procedure is performed during the follicular phase of the ovulatory cycle and patient should receive prophylactic antibiotics and antiprostaglandin to reduce pain and uterine spasm.

In a study by Thurmond and Rosch, 1990 proximal fallopian tube recanalization was successful in 86% of patients. Capitanio et a/.,1991 study proved patency in 74.9% of patients.

Patients with proved any associated cause of infertility was excluded from this study. They subjected to recanalization under fluoroscopic guidance. The number of obstructed tubes were 27 tube, the success rate was 77.7%. Guidewire was used in 6 tubes, it
