Abstract
As a part of our program on preparation of new material for electronic and photovoltaic applications, we have undertaken the growth of SnTexSe 1_x polycrystalline crystal by
direct fusion technique_
SnTe,Se 1_, thin films prepared by thermal evaporation technique.
Structural, optical and transport properties of SnTe,Se 1 _, films in amorphous nature and in polycrystalline nature are studied. These properties could be correlated to evaluate the compounds under investigation as a semiconducting material with specific properties, to fulfill certain applications_
