Abstract


The present study was conducted on 1792 cows (Balady
and crossbred) and 1068 buffalo-cows owned by the farmers at seven villages in Ismailia governorate. The objectives were to investigate the effect of thawing regime, seasons and inseminators on the post-thaw semen parameters and fertility of frozen bovine semen. A highly significant (P62.6±4.4 and 17±3.09 for buffalo semen. Similarly the
percentage of intact acrosome averaged. 79.4±3.6 for bull­
semen compared to 75±2.9 and 53.2±2.9 for buffalo-semen.
