RESPONSE OF WHEAT PLANTS GROWN ON LOW CATION EXCHANGE CAPACITY SOILS TO FERTILIZATION WITH POTASSIUM

Bashir Abou-Baker Hassan El-Gamal;

Abstract

The current study intends to evaluate the status of potassium in some sandy soils of Egypt characterized with low values of CEC. Also, the effect of soil moisture depletion treatments and potassium fertilization and its application methods on yield and yield component of wheat, chemical composition, potassium use efficiency, some water relation and potassium forms of different sandy soils were also investigated. The present research was included two experiments.
