Abstract


Bird damage is a serious problem allover the world. The house sparrow, Passer domesticus niloticus L., by his impact with human activities, is considered to be the most economic vertebrate pest against many crops especially cereal grains such as wheat and sorghum as well as broad bean, sunflower, and grapes. In addition, sparrows may be incriminated in transmitting the causative agents of plant diseases such as viruses, bacteria, fungi and other parasites. They may also responsible for the spread of some communicable diseases between man and animals.

Information about sparrow's ecology is fundamental for the formulation of control strategies. The present course of investigation, therefore, had been accomplished in the following points:
