Abstract
ABSTRACT
The emergence of the medical semantic web applications relies on the ontology to
represent the medical knowledge to users. The ontology organizes, represents and shares
the knowledge across these applications. It facilitates the integration and the semantic
homogeneity between them. In addition, the ontology is used in these applications to
provide the suitable medical knowledge to the users in terms of recommendations for
clinical findings and treatments. A medical datum can be expressed in heterogeneous
terms that have the same meaning; for this reason, the medical ontology should contain
the standard and normalized terms.
