Preparation and Characterization of Nanomaterials Supported on Zinc Oxide and their Different Catalytic Applications

Mona Ali Ahmed Naghmash;

Abstract

This work has been carried out to investigate the role of ZnO as a good photocatalyst, support and as a dopant. The Performance of ZnO photocatalyst towards dyes degradation has been improved by changing the preparation method and doping with TiO2 and CeO2. The role of ZnO as a good support for Co3O4 and MnO2 catalysts has been studied for H2O2 decomposition. Different parameters has been studied which effect on the catalytic activity. These parameters include effect of preparation methods, extent of loading, Ag2O-doping and calcination conditions. Effect of ZnO as a dopant on the structural and catalytic properties of Co3O4/MgO system has been detected.
