Abstract
Carcinoma of the prostate is predominantl y a tumor of older men, evety man may develop prostate cancer if he lives long enough, even though the oveiWhehning majority will not die from it. Controversy exists in regard to the value of screening, the most appropriate staging evaluation, and the optimal treatment of each stage of the disease.
