Predictive Value of early 3rd trimesteric maternal serum C-reactive protein level in pre-eclampsia jo

Abstract
Reviewing the body of evidence regarding the association between CRP level and pre-eclampsia showed a lot of debate, but we noted that most of the studies were more focused on the study of CRP level at the onset of diagnosis of preeclampsia rather than studying the potential predictive value of CRP since earlier in gestation
Our results suggest that the potential usefulness of CRP as a predictor of pre-eclampsia and its severity is limited.
Considering the relatively small number of patients enrolled in the current study, care must be taken in extrapolating the present findings to all patients with preclampsia and a larger patient cohort may provide by far more insightful data.
