STUDY OF PLATELET DERIVED GROWTH FACTOR IN HODGKINKIN'S LYMPHOMA

Abstract
From our study, we can conclude the following:
I. At presentation, mean value of serum level of PDGF was significantly higher in
Lymphoma patients as compared to healthy controls.
2. Significant reduction in the mean value of serum level of PDGF was found in Lymphoma patients who responded (either complete or partial response) to 3 cycles of conventional Lymphoma chemotherapy.
3. Significant increase in the mean value of serum level of PDGF was found in Lymphoma patients who didn't respond to 3 cycles of conventional lymphoma chemotherapy and who had progressive disease.
4. No significant difference was found in the mean value of serum level of PDGF between Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma patients both at presentation and after 3 cycles of conventional Lymphoma Chemotherapy (ABVD for HL and CHOP for NHL patients).
