Abstract

roblem of the Study: The attempt of a researcher in this study focused on the knowledge of the relationship between religious consciousness and quality of life and cognitive distortions in a sample of young people and thus problem of the study clarifies in the following questions. 1 - Is there a statistically significant relationship between religious consciousness and cognitive distortions at young people? 2 - Is there a statistically significant relationship between religious consciousness and quality of life among young people? 3- Does High-religious awareness about low-religious consciousness in cognitive distortions? 4 - Does the High-religious awareness about low-religious consciousness in the quality of life? Objectives of the Study, - The overall objective of the research determined by identifying the nature of religious awareness among young people and how they affect on the quality of their lives and their ideas and see if there are differences between males and females. And objectives of the current study are as follows, 1- Knowing the relationship between religious consciousness and cognitive distortions. 2- Knowing the relationship between religious consciousness and quality of life. 3- Knowing the differences between males and females in the religious consciousness. 4- Knowing the differences between male high-religious consciousness and male low- religious consciousness in cognitive distortions and quality of life. 5- Know the differences between females in high-religious consciousness and female low-religious consciousness in cognitive distortions and quality of life. The study hypotheses: 1- There is a positive correlation significant statistically between religious consciousness and quality of life among young people. 2- There is a negative correlation significant statistically between religious consciousness and cognitive distortions at young people. 3- There is a negative correlation between statistically significant cognitive distortions and quality of life among young people 0 4- There are differences between males and females in the religious consciousness 0 5- There are differences between male high-religious consciousness and male low-religious consciousness in cognitive distortions and quality of life 6- There are differences between females in high-religious consciousness and female low-religious consciousness in cognitive distortions and quality of life. Study procedures, 1) Study Curricula. This study combines the methods of scientific study are Correlative and comparative curricula. 2) - The Study Sample The sample consisted of (200 respondents), male and female, from urban and rural areas with ages ranged from (21-35) years. And the sample was divided into two groups of males group consisted of (108 respondents) with an average age of (212) and a standard deviation (28.24) and a group of females consisted of (92 respondents) with an average age of (219) and a standard deviation (14.84)
