Abstract


In this study 55 patients with different types of hand injuries were evaluated as to the management strategies and treatment modalities. Fingertip injuries, skin and soft tissue defects, tendon and nerve injuries, in addition to complex and mutilating injuries were included. The restoration of sensibility through the various treatment options was found to be extremely valuable as to the ultimate function of the hand. Also the judicious use of splinting and immediate mobility of the hand to avoid stiffness.
