RECENT APPLICATIONS OF LASER IN CATARACT SURGERY

Abstract


Cataract extraction has started in the middle of the 17th century to improve the deteriorated vision, cataract extraction has undergone many developments after that ending by phaco reaching the 2.5 mm cataract incision and using foldable IOL.


Laser has been used for nuclear fragmentation successfully and possibly having a I mm cataract incision and this will bring us close to the probability of having an injectable accommodating lens.



This work also quickly outlines the other uses of laser m
cataract surgery and the result of these appliations .
