ENGINEERING FACTORS AFFECTING CHEMIGATION UNDER SALINITY AND WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
HAZEM SAYED MOHAMED MEHAWED;
Abstract
The aims of this investigation were to develop a fertilization crop production function; develop criteria of optimal management for applying water and fertilizers under drip irrigation method.
To achieve these objectives, two trials were carried out at the. Experimental Farm of Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University at Shahiqim, Kalubia Govemarate which represents alluvial soils. This investigation had adopted the management of chemigation process : using both surface and subsurface drip irrigation systems. Zea maize crop (single cross No.10) was used as a test crop. All agriculture practices were carried out on the crop that planted at Mid May and harvested at Mid Sept. during two successful growing seasons 1997 and 1998.
