SUMMARY
W
orkers spend up to 50% of their working lives at work; there for the workplace provide a captive audience for the promotion of health and wellness. Despite improvement s in occupational safety and health over the last several decades, workers continue to suffer work-related deaths, injuries and illnesses (Guzik, 2013).
Training is one of the most important tasks to be carried out by employers, Workers need to know not only how to do their jobs, but also how to protect their lives and health and those of their co-workers while working. Prevention of workplace accidents and injuries is the aim of an effective occupational health and safety (OH&S) program. Having a safe work environment where prevention is the key to an organization's success is important to all workplace parties— employers, workers including supervisors and managers (OSHA, 2015).
Therefore, the present study was conducted to determine the impact of occupational health nursing program directed to petroleum workers about occupational health
