Abstract
The Present thesis deals with Schiff bases derived from adipic acid dihydrazide as salicylaldehyde and dihydrexybenzaldehyde adipic

dihydrazone and their metal complexes with the divalent metal ions of Mn , Co , Ni, Cu and Zn and trivalent metal ions of Fe, Cr and Ru. Also, the Schiff bases of amino pyrimidines and their complexes with the divalent Cu.
The chapters in this thesis can be described as follow :
1) Chapter I:
This chapter includes a literature survey on the coordination chemistry of Schiff bases, hydrazides, hydrazones, dihydrazones and their metal complexes in addition to their application in chemistry. Also, it includes a literature survey on the uses and toxicology of some anticholinergic drugs as benztropine and benzhexol.
2) Chapter II
This chapter deals with the experimental details of preparing the organic compounds and their complexes together with the physical measurements and instrumentation used. In addition to the toxicological techniques in detecting the anticholinergic drugs and its application on the prepared Schiff bases .
3) Chapter III
This chapter includes the results obtained and their discussions .
It consists of 5 parts :
