Lipid profile in Rabbits during pregnancy

Abstract


Rabbits are very essential to human life as they are rared for production of Meat, fur and for many laboratory diagnosis .


The pregnancy period and the parturition are physiological conditions which may be accompanied with some biochemical
changes.


And so the present study was undertaken in order to trace


biochemical changes in cholesterol , phospholipids, fatty acids
Experiment:

serum, total lipids ,triglycerides lipoproteins (HDL-c & LDL-c) and

A thirty female Neozland rabbils were used in this investigation . The animals under study were considered as one group.


These animals were received a ration composed of concentrates purchased from Cairo company for poultry and concentrates .


Blood samples were collected from the ear vem m heparinized tubes, at 0 day ( day of mating ), 10 th , 20 th & 30 th day (expected day of parturition ). Blood samples were also collected from non concepted does (control group ) at the same time intervals as done in pregnant groups

The serum were obtained by centrifugation of the blood samples at 4000 rpm for about 15 minutes .
