Marwa Hussiene Askar;

Abstract

From March 2010 to January 2011, 80 mothers and infants were evaluated. Mothers and neonates were divided into 2 groups according to the gestational age; Group 1 included mothers and neonates delivered at full-term (n =

This series included 80 mothers, aged from 18 to 41 years. The mean weight for the mothers was 86.8 Kg. Regarding the maternal blood groups, the incidence of blood groups A, B, AB and 0 were 36.3%, 21.3%, 5% and
37.5% respectively. Rh factor was found to be positive in

85% and negative in 15%.

The neonatal population constitutes 44 males (55%)

and 36 females (45%).The mean gestational age was 36

±3.15 weeks; Neonatal weight was 2707 ±764 grams.
