Abstract

This study was carried out in order to investigate the effect of Aspergillus fermentation extract (Bospro) on milk production, milk composition, nutrients digestibility and some blood parameter of dairy cows (Exp.I) as well as nutrients digestibility and rumen fermentation of sheep ( Exp. II ).

Experiment I

It was conducted mainly to study the effect of Asperigllus fermentation extract (Bospro) supplementation to the diet of Friesian cows on milk production, milk composition, nutrient digestibility and some blood parameters. Sixteen Friesian cows of 405.81 kg average body weight were used. At the beginning of the experiment, cows averaged 45 days in milk and were yielding approximately 9.8 kg I day of milk. They were allocated according to the switch back design into two groups, eight cows each. The experimental period lasted 9 months divided into 3 periods, three months each to evaluate diets without ( control ) or with 0.5 %I kg diet Asperigllus fermentation extract ( Bospro). The first month of each period was for adjustment; and data were collected in the last two months of each period.
