Abstract

The importance of studying integrated conservation lies in the existence of many cultural heritages in Egypt. Egypt is considered one of the richest countries in the world by its cultural heritage which must be conserved and preserved to keep a strong and refreshed memorial. This could be achieved within the framework of conservation concepts (such as renovation, development, renewal, maintenance, and repair). Recently the competent authorities headed to pay due care to conserve the historic heritage areas in order to rehabilitate valuable buildings , as well as overall development by improving the standard of living , the society and the Urban area as a whole. This, in its turn, tends to create a sense of belongingness and societal awareness towards historical and heritage areas. it is a process that cannot take place in isolation from improving the Urban area on the one hand and the users on the other hand, which called for the study of conservation with its elements , components, and all the active parties in the process of integrated conversation . Its aim is developing a strategy for a role model of integrated conservation. This research studies the process of integrated conservation and sustainable development of historical and heritage areas on three phases as follow: 1. Theoretical study: it is elaborated in the first section through the first and second chapters.
