Sexual Behaviour during Pregnancy

Abstract


Sexual behaviour is one of important aspect that affected with pregnancy period. Misuse of sexual behaviour during pregnancy may cause many physical and psychological problems. So improving women's perception towards sexual behaviour aids in marital relationship equilibrium and promote family life during pregnancy.


The present study aimed to identify different sexual behaviour of women during pregnancy and determine different sexual problems of women during pregnancy.


The study was conducted in antenatal clinic at Ain Shams University Maternity hospital and Dr.Yasser Abo Talb clinic to involve cases with high socioeconomic standard of the study from 1-6-2000 and 30-11-2000.


The sample of this study were consisted of five hundred women divided in (361) women were attending in antenatal clinic of Ain Shams University Maternity hospital and (139) women were attending in the Dr.Yasser Abo Talb clinic with the following criteria: pregnant, with different age, parity and educational level groups, her husband was alive with her, free from any obstetrical problems & medical problems. The sample was collected through simple random sampling.
