Abstract

Acute leukemia is the most common cancer. The risk for leukemia c has been increasing over 5 decades. To fight and win the disease a technique for early and right diagnosis is needed.
Moreover, a new technique to follow up the chemotherapy in the patients' body will avoid the wrong treatment and the accumulation of the chemicals in the patient's body that may lead to a secondary cancer. It is important to determine dr_:Jg sensitivity and the importance of different mechanisms of drug resistance in individual patients; we need o know the cellular targets of the drugs used for treatment.

At this study:

A modified molecular technique is used to follow up the response of

23 acute leukemia patients to their therapy. The results show that the patients with new diagnosis leukemia has high DNA damage thart control one, which means that the disease is coupling with genetic disorder. It can't predict if the patient response to the treatment or not at the first days of treatment course. Because the effect of the treatment doesn't appear at the first two weeks. From the 20th day of taken therapy the treatment effect on the patient. At the duration of 30 days to less than 256 days the patients is divided to, group response and recover where there DNA damage and RNA level are reduced; group is response but not recover at which DNA damage is reduced but RNA level isn't. It may the treatment doesn't effect any more.
