Summary:
Cooperative Sensing (CS) was suggested to enhance the robustness of the SS
decisions. CS has challenges of its own including the choice of the optimum
fusion technique, the e ect of non-ideal feedback channels as well as the
e ect of delay on the quality of the decisions. In this context, we first propose
a simple CS algorithm, which combines the local decision at each CR along
with a group decision received from a fusion center to produce a collective
decision. The algorithm is shown to provide more robustness against reporting
channel errors than the conventional hard decisions-based algorithm. Finally,
the modified algorithm is shown to dramatically improve the performance in
terms of probability of detection for di erent delay scenarios.
