Abstract


table coronary artery disease is generally characterized by episodes of reversible myocardial demand/supply mismatch, related to ischemia or hypoxia, which are usually inducible by exercise, emotion or other stress ,but also may be occurring spontaneously and is associated with transient chest discomfort and angina pectoris.
The prevalence of angina in population-based studies increases with age in both sexes. Interestingly, angina is more prevalent in middle-aged women than in men due to microvascular angina in women, whereas the opposite is true in the elderly.
The SYNTAX score (SX score) was recently developed as a comprehensive angiographic guided scoring system aiming to assist in risk stratification of patients who have more than one vessel coronary artery disease and undergoing revascularization with PCI.
It has a good predictive value of adverse cardiac it was showed that patients with the highest SS tertile had a significantly higher adverse event rate (27.9%) than patients in the lowest tertile (8.7%).
