Abstract
ParkinsOtl's disease is a progressive movement disorder characterized By decrease in spontaneous movelnent, gait difficulty, postural instability, rigidity_ and resting tremor_ Asmall !,>roup of neurons, the substantia nigra, is located on each side of the brain stem_ These pigmented neurons degenerate and die, resulting in the decrease dopamine availability responsible for Parkinson's disease.
