Abstract
The introduction of ICSI has revolutionized the treatment of severe forms of male infertility (Palermo et al., 1992; Van Steirteghem et at.,
1993). However, following the successful treatment of these male factor
patients, a lot of questions have arisen. The most important one relates to whether the selection of spermatozoa from male factor patients (ejaculate, epididymal or testicular) to achieve fertilization by ICSI will lead to a negative paternal impact on blastogenesis.
