Helicobacter pylori is one of the most important common human infection (John 2000). In 15% of patients cholecystectomy fails to relieve the symptoms for which the operation was performed. Such patient may be considered to have post cholecystectomy symptoms (Russell 2000).

There is +ve correlation between duodenogastric reflux and post cholecystectomy symptoms (Nudo et al

Preoperatively, all patients were investigated to detect Helicobacter pylori and duodenogastric reflux, as regard Helicobacter pylori it was diagnosed through upper gastrointestinal endoscopyy and biopsy, histopathological assessment and rapid urease test (CLO test), which detected Helicobacter pylori in 40 patients (80%) by histoathological examination and 38 patients (76%) by rapid urease test (CLO test).

Duodenogastric reflux was diagnosed by HIDA scan it revealed 18 patients (36%) with duodenogastric reflux.
