THE USE OF C0 2 LASER IN MANAGEMENT OF POSTOPERATIVE NASAL SYNECHIAE
HANY HALIM IBRAHIM;
Abstract
- Postoperative nasal synechiae is an important cause of nasal obstruction.
- Both conventional surgical technique and Co2 laser lysis of synechiae give rise to significant improvement of nasal
airflow and decrease of nasal resistance.
- Co2 laser lysis is superior to conventional surgical technique.
- Performing partial inferior turbinectomy, use of nasal splints and thorough follow up for suction and removal of crustations help greatly to improve the results of surgery and decrease postoperative complications.
