Abstract
Serologic studies were carried out using Latex agglutination test

(LAT) and indirect heamagglutination test (IHAT) as a confirmatory test.
Serum samples were collected from aborted and pregnant women (n=227), aborted and pregnant ewes (n=263) and aborted and pregnant does (n=252). The results ofLAT and lliAT were in complete agreement. The seroprevalence of Toxoplasma antibodies in women, ewes and goats amouhtd respectively to 28.2, 32.0 and 28.6 %. Seroprevalence rates of women haying history of exposure to live in contact with house cats and habitual consumption ofundercooked mutton (62.5 %) exceeded those of women living with house cats only (14 %).
