MEDICOLEGAL ASPECTS OF THE HUMAN GENOME
Iman Mohammed Fawzy Gaballah;
Abstract
The human genome is the genetic information that we carry in each of our cells. Humans are typical eukaryotes and their genomes are slit into nuclear and mitochondrial gnomes. Amount of DNA needed for testing depends on the technology used. Medicolegally applied in disputed paternity, missing body cases, mass disasters, fire victims and sexual assaults. The Ethical, Legal and Social Implications (ELSI) represent the world's largest bioethics program.
