Abstract


In this chapter, the suggested models for skew, ringing, fall time and rise time as well as jitter introduced in the previous chapter are evaluated. ADS, from Keysight, used for simulating a typical digital system model composed of Altera’s FPGA and Micron’s DDR3 connected by intercon- nect obtain a real signal for the verification purpose. In the simulator, the sender and the receiver are modeled by their IBIS models due to many ad- vantages of using IBIS over the traditional SPICE models, which, however, not available from vendors.
