Abstract


Traumatic injury is a major public health problem. It is the leading cause for death in persons aged up to 44 years and the fourth most prevalent cause of death in persons of all ages. The first hour after injury is the most critical for which the nurse plays a vital role in the efforts to resuscitate trauma patients.
