Studies on Some Heterocyclic Compounds

Abstract

The compounds prepared included the two following parts :-

A- Cyano heterocyclic derivatives from 3-cyano-4-methyl-6-oxo-

5-phenylhydrazono-2-pyridinyl malononitrile incorporating :-

• Phenylperinaphthenones.

• Naphthrydines.

B- Attempts preparation of fused heterocycles derived from

1,3-thiazolidine.

A- Reaction of 3-cyano-4-methyl-6-oxo-5-phenylhy drazono-

2-pyridinylmalononitrile (1) with a,p-unsaturated nitriles derivatives (2a-d), substituted hydrazine, hydroxylamine hydrochloride, sulpher, phenylisocyanate, acetic acid I hydrochloric acids, urea and thiourea were investigated.
