The efficacy of Two Different Wave Lengths Diode Laser on Remineralization Potential of CPP-ACPF on Induced Human Enamel Demineralization
Asia Mohamed Elsheflak;
Abstract
Demineralization and remineralization have important role on the hardness and strength of tooth enamel. The battle to keep teeth strong and healthy is dependent upon the ratio between demineralization and remineralization. Chemical demineralization of teeth is caused by acidic attack through two primary means: dietary acid consumed through food or drink and microbial attack from bacteria present in the mouth.
Remineralization is the natural repair and production process of restoring minerals again in the form of mineral ions to the hydroxyapatite's lattice. Below critical pH
