Abdel-Rahman Saleem Soliman Saleem;

Abstract

1- Filly-nine species and 5 varieties belonging to 25 genera were collected from 50 soybean seeds samples on glucose- and 50% sucrose Czapek's agar at 28°C using the dilution- and seed- plate methods.
2- Results obtained reveal that fungal flora associated with different varieties of soybean seed were basically similar.
1- Fourty-eight species and 3 varieties belonging to 24 genera were

isolated from soybean seed on plates of glucose- Czapek's agar at 2Xoc using the two isolation methods.
4- The results obtained hom the two isolation methods were basically

similar with the most frequently encountered glucophilic genera were: Alternaria (3 species), A.\pergillus ( 12 species + 2 varieties), Clado.\porium (I species), Gihherella (4 species), Nectria (I species), fJenicil/ium (6 species) and Nhizopus (I species).
5- Of the above genera the most common glucophilic spec1es were: Altemaria altemafa, Aspergillus .flavus. A. niger, A. ochruceus. A. terre us. (.'/adostwrill/11 cladmporioides. ( i ihherella ji1jikumi. NeeI rio haemafococca. l)enicillium clnysogenwn. fJ c01ylophilum 6- Thirty-one species and 3 varieties representing 13 genera were

collected fi•01n soybean seeds using the dilution- ( 12 genera and 30 species + 3 varieties) and seed- plate methods (9 genera and 19 species
+ 2 varieties) on 50% sucrose- Czapek's agar at 28°C.
