INTROSIVE IMPURITIES INTO KAOLINITE DEPOSITES AND THEIR EFFECT ON THE CERAMIC PRODUCTS IN A DRY ,. AFRICAN ENVIRONMENT
ABEER MOHAMED MOHAMED ABO ELSOUD;
Abstract
Industrial clay sewer pipes production is easy but complex and specialized system. One disadvantage with the familiar materials mostly contain some impurity, mainly excess quartz, some feldspar and solid sintered hard iron oxide pieces, which cause and lead to undesirable pipe features and defects. This represents a large disadvantage in sewer pipes designed to be long life, water tight and acid resistance bulk.
An experimental study has been undertaken on the clay content changes due to the presence of these impurity materials in the range of 2- 10% by weight in presence of coarse grog or 2-6
% in case of fine grog excess than that of the classical clay
composition.
